Charlie Walker has been named the Distinguished Young Alumni honoree by Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, according to a May 4 announcement. Walker, who is an alumnus and member of the Board of Regents, will also serve as guest speaker at the annual 3L Breakfast scheduled for Wednesday, May 20.

The recognition highlights Walker’s career achievements and ongoing involvement with Pepperdine University. The annual 3L Breakfast is described as a graduation-morning tradition that gives graduating students a final opportunity to celebrate together before commencement.

Paul L. Caron, Duane and Kelly Roberts Dean of the Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law, said, “From his days as a standout student through his distinguished legal career and leadership—including his current service as general counsel at Graham Healthcare Capital and as a member of Pepperdine University’s Board of Regents—Charlie Walker has consistently embodied the very best of Pepperdine Caruso Law. His professional life and character serve as a powerful example for our graduates. I am delighted to welcome Charlie back to the 3L Breakfast to honor him as our 2026 Young Distinguished Alumnus of the Year.”

Walker currently serves as general counsel and chief compliance officer at Graham Healthcare Group, where he leads legal strategy for healthcare operations spanning home health, hospice care, and technology-enabled services. He previously worked in legal roles at WireMasters and Holland & Knight’s Nashville office with experience in corporate governance and healthcare transactions.

Walker holds degrees from Harding University (BS), Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management (MBA), and Pepperdine Caruso School of Law (JD). He has received several honors during his academic tenure including participation on Moot Court teams and awards for excellence in character. Admitted to practice law in Tennessee federal courts as well as before the US Supreme Court, he is also a registered patent attorney.

“While I wouldn’t use the word ‘distinguished’ to describe myself, I am extremely grateful and honored to be counted among the many talented alumni of the Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law,” said Walker. “Pepperdine occupies a vital place in legal education—rooted in Christian faith, committed to forming lawyers who are trusted counselors, peacemakers, and justice seekers, not combatants for hire. I hope to play some small part in ensuring that mission continues.”
