Pepperdine University’s men’s volleyball player Cole Hartke has received multiple honors following strong performances in recent matches. Hartke was named both Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week by the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) and also earned National Player of the Week recognition from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).

In a match against Loyola Chicago, Hartke led his team with 17 kills, hitting .364, along with six digs and a service ace. The next day, he scored a career-high 35 points on 29 kills in a win over Lewis University. Over two matches, Hartke averaged 5.75 kills per set with a hitting percentage of .378, as well as contributing in digs and blocks.

The 35 points scored against Lewis were the highest by any MPSF player since 2023. This marks Hartke’s first conference awards this season and third and fourth overall in his college career. It is also his first national player of the week award. The last time a Pepperdine player received national recognition was Ryan Barnett during the 2025 MPSF tournament.

Pepperdine men’s volleyball will host Long Beach State, currently ranked No. 2 and reigning national champion, at Firestone Fieldhouse on Friday night at 6 p.m.

Pepperdine’s men’s volleyball program has won five NCAA National Championships and made 19 NCAA appearances. Four championships came under Hall of Fame coach Marv Dunphy, who led the team for 34 seasons. Current head coach Jonathan Winder guided Pepperdine to the NCAA Final Four in his third season in 2025.
