American businesswoman Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson, owner and president of In-N-Out Burger, will speak at Pepperdine University’s President’s Speaker Series on March 31, 2026. The event will take place at 5 PM in Firestone Fieldhouse. University president Jim Gash will host the conversation.
Snyder-Ellingson is expected to discuss the influence of faith in her personal life and leadership approach, as well as share her experience guiding a family-owned brand. She began working at In-N-Out Burger in 1999 and now oversees all aspects of the company, including daily operations, marketing, store design, associate engagement, and expansion efforts.
Her grandparents founded In-N-Out Burger in Southern California in 1948. The company remains privately owned and employs more than 44,000 people. Snyder-Ellingson has emphasized her commitment to keeping it a family business.
She also leads the company’s philanthropic work through the In-N-Out Burger Foundation—started by previous generations of her family—as well as through organizations she co-founded with her husband Sean Ellingson: Slave 2 Nothing Foundation and HIS EYES Foundation.
In addition to business leadership, Snyder-Ellingson and her husband are founders of Army of Love ministry. According to organizers, “Army of Love strives to exemplify Isaiah 61:1—‘The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.’”
Snyder-Ellingson authored “The Ins-N-Outs of In-N-Out Burger: The Inside Story of California’s First Drive-Thru and How It Became a Beloved Cultural Icon,” published in 2023 by Nelson Books.
“The event is free to attend, however, registration is required. Visit the President’s Speaker Series website for more information.”
