Pepperdine University has announced its 2026 baseball schedule, featuring 26 home games and matchups against three teams that reached the postseason last year. The schedule was released on Monday.
Tyler LaTorre, entering his second season as head coach of the Waves, commented on the upcoming season: “Our 2026 schedule, like every year, is as competitive as anyone on the West Coast. At Pepperdine, we pride ourselves on high standards and a commitment to excellence through strong Christian values.”
LaTorre also reflected on the team’s recent progress: “We had a great fall of competitive development, team building, and excelled on and off the field. Our players’ consistent relentlessness of accountability and servant leadership has prepared them to elevate our program day in and day out. Our program looks to continue to build off of a foundation from last year, with the addition of 21 new players, highlighted by 11 freshmen and 10 transfers. Our returning players have been great stewards of Waves Baseball and are looking forward to February as we gear up for the 2026 season.”
The Waves will play most of their home games at Eddy D. Field Stadium in Malibu. Season tickets are available starting at $99 per person before fees, with more information accessible through the team’s schedule page on pepperdinewaves.com.
The season begins with a three-game series at USC from February 13-15. This marks one of three series against teams that made last year’s NCAA tournament. The home opener is scheduled for February 17 against UC Santa Barbara.
Following their opening games, Pepperdine will travel north to face Fresno State—the defending Mountain West Conference champions—before returning home for a series against Yale beginning February 27.
March includes an away game at Cal Poly followed by a seven-game homestand featuring Michigan and UMass Lowell before conference play starts at Saint Mary’s College. Additional March opponents include Washington, San Diego, and CSUN.
“Opening up on the road at 2025 NCAA tournament teams in USC and Fresno State will test us before opening up a three-weekend non-conference schedule versus Yale, Michigan, and UMass-Lowell before starting West Coast Conference play,” LaTorre said.
April brings road trips to Gonzaga and Seattle as well as several California matchups including Pacific, LMU (Loyola Marymount University), Cal Poly again, and CSUN. The month ends with conference games in Seattle.
In May, Pepperdine hosts San Francisco before playing UC Santa Barbara away. Senior Day will be held during the final home series against Portland ahead of closing out regular-season play at Santa Clara.
The top six teams in the West Coast Conference standings will qualify for the WCC Baseball Championships from May 20-23; details about the location are yet to be announced.
Pepperdine baseball has previously won an NCAA National Championship (1992) and participated in 28 NCAA Tournaments overall. The program has produced numerous MLB players and All-American selections while playing its home games overlooking Malibu’s coastline at Eddy D. Field Stadium.
