Pepperdine University’s swimming and diving teams are set to conclude their fall schedule with two invitational meets before the end of the year. The diving team will compete at the Trojan Diving Invitational, hosted by USC in Los Angeles from November 20 to 22. At the same time, the swimming team will participate in the Northwest Collegiate Swimming Invitational in Boise, Idaho, from November 21 to 23.
The Trojan Diving Invitational marks the first competition for Pepperdine divers since their home meet against San Diego State on October 9. Teams competing alongside Pepperdine include USC, BYU, Cal Baptist, Cal State Bakersfield, Fresno State, Grand Canyon, Idaho, UCLA, UC San Diego, and UNLV. Jackie Johnson previously won the 1-meter event with a score of 230.93 and aims to continue her strong freshman season. Amanda Wong was Pepperdine’s next highest scorer in that meet with a third-place finish and 220.95 points.
Diving events begin Thursday with the 1-meter preliminaries at 11 a.m., followed by finals later that afternoon. The schedule continues Friday with the 3-meter events and Saturday with platform competitions.
Meanwhile, swimmers will compete over three days at the Vandal-hosted Northwest Collegiate Swimming Invitational at Idaho Central Aquatic Center. Competition begins each day at 10 a.m., featuring teams such as Idaho, Alaska-Fairbanks, Cal State Bakersfield, College of Idaho, Seattle University, UTRGV, and Whitman College.

After these invitationals, both teams will take a break until they face San Diego State and Cal State East Bay on January 5 in San Diego.
According to Pepperdine University Athletics, “Pepperdine swimming & diving has a rich history spanning four decades, having posted top-five finishes in its conference in 32 of 39 seasons. The Waves have captured three conference championships in the past four seasons, its first three conference titles, winning its first MPSF Championship in 2025 after joining the conference the season prior. In 38 seasons in the PCSC, the Waves saw 48 individual champions and 20 PCSC Swimmer or Diver of the Year awards. Andreea Trufasu stands as the program’s lone Olympian, having competed in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.”
