Pepperdine University’s women’s swim team concluded a two-day meet against Fresno State, with the Bulldogs winning by a combined score of 294.5 to 128.5. The competition took place in Malibu and featured several notable performances from the Waves.

Interim head coach Dan Marella commented on the team’s performance: “This weekend was a great way to wrap up our Winter Training Camp. To have a school record, a couple lifetime bests, and many in-season bests in the midst of our toughest training cycle speaks volumes about the collective buy-in and their mindset this winter. I’m looking forward to a great week of training and getting back to action next weekend.”

During the first day, Kiana Fan won the 100 free kick event with a time of 1:07.70, marking Pepperdine’s debut in that race for the season. Anna Ryan secured first place in the 50 free with a time of 23.90 seconds.

Ansley Halbach set a new program record in the 1650 free, finishing third with a time of 17:10.61 and surpassing Jennifer Antimarino’s previous mark from 1997.

At the end of day one, Fresno State led with a score of 114–53.

On day two, Aliyah Fan finished first in the 100 fly at 58.04 seconds. Paige Easton claimed victory in the 200 IM at 2:09.43, while her sister Elliot Easton contributed to Pepperdine’s win in the 200 free relay alongside Maile Sullivan, Natalie Do, and Anna Ryan (1:39.26).

Fresno State outscored Pepperdine on day two as well, bringing their advantage to 180.50–75.50 for that session.

The full results for both days are available online.

Looking ahead, Pepperdine’s dive team will compete at UCLA tomorrow during the final day of Bruin Dive Invites. The entire squad is scheduled to face San Diego on January 17 at Raleigh Runnels pool; early attendees will receive complimentary beach towels during this themed Pool Party event.

Pepperdine swimming & diving has maintained strong conference showings over its four-decade history, including three championships within four seasons and its inaugural MPSF Championship win in 2025 after joining that conference recently. The program has produced numerous individual champions and awards during its tenure in collegiate swimming competitions.
