The Los Angeles Rams, Pechanga Resort Casino, and the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank will hold a large drive-through food distribution event on Thursday, December 18. The event will take place in the parking lots of SoFi Stadium in Inglewood and is open to residents across Greater Los Angeles.
This marks the sixth year for the contactless food distribution. Organizers expect to serve thousands of families by providing each household with approximately 60 pounds of groceries. The food provided is intended to supply holiday meals for a family of six for more than a week.
Volunteers at the event aim to distribute enough food for over 20,000 meals. Families attending will receive frozen chicken, fresh produce, and shelf-stable meal kits. Members of the Rams organization—including cheerleaders, mascot Rampage, front office staff—as well as volunteers from Pechanga and the Food Bank will help load groceries into vehicles.
According to data from the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, more than two million people in Los Angeles County face food insecurity—meaning about one in four residents are unsure where their next meal may come from. The Food Bank and its partner agencies serve over 900,000 people each month.
Pechanga Resort Casino and the Los Angeles Rams are corporate partners that regularly support community initiatives throughout Southern California.
The drive-thru event at SoFi Stadium (3696 Pincay Dr., Inglewood) is open to all members of the public and runs from 9 a.m. to noon Pacific Time on December 18.
