Happy International Women’s Day! We celebrate the women of the County of Ventura!
“Throughout my 13-year career with the County of Ventura I have worked with the Health Care Agency and Public Works Agency. I had the good fortune of joining the Public Works Agency three years ago. I serve as the Director of Central Services which includes the Human Resource, Health & Safety, IT, Strategic Management, and Fiscal divisions for the Agency and Real Estate Services for the County. I love being able to apply my many years of varied experience in so many ways. No two days are ever alike. The energy of our team in working to always innovate and excel in what we do brings immeasurable job satisfaction. I am more than proud to say I am a member of the Ventura County Public Work Agency; it’s a great place to serve. Interesting note: I’ll probably be the only Registered Nurse working for PWA, however the skills and experience have been a huge benefit through COVID.” Joan Araujo, Director of Central Services, Ventura County Public Works Agency
