2022 Autumn E-Waste Collection Event

Celebrate America Recycles Day 25th Anniversary with GSA’s On-Site Electronic Waste Collection Event on 11/14 and 11/15

Do you have electronic Items you no longer need, or which no longer work?  Have you upgraded your cell phone, or decided that you no longer want to watch DVDs or listen to CDs?  Perhaps you merely want to downsize your vast collection, and get rid of electronics which are just taking up space.

Why not dispose of your electronic-waste in a responsible way, helping to save the environment, by bringing your unwanted electrical items to the semi-annual GSA electronic-waste collection event?  Held at the Service Building, we will be collecting all electronics (see attachment for exceptions of major appliances), whether in working order or not, on Monday, November 14th, and Tuesday, November 15th, from 8 AM to 4 PM.  Items that run on a battery or plug into an electrical socket will be accepted.  We have received strings of holiday lights, tasers, photoelectric smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors – just some suggestions of other things you can recycle.  Also, if you are recycling DVD or CD players, why not bring along all of those CDs and DVDs you will no longer be using, so that we may collect them and make one large donation to the County Library?  A further way to recycle.  We will also collect your batteries for you, in order to responsibly recycle them, and will do the same with used toner.

If you have any questions regarding the event or what you can or cannot bring, please contact Cyndy Taschman at 805-654-2051 or cyndy.taschman@ventura.org.

And when you drop off your e-waste, please be sure to ask about the new Writing Instrument Recycling Program!  Details may be found at https://www.ventura.org/general-services.../housekeeping/  or https://cdn.ventura.org/.../Recycle-the-_Write_-Way-with....  You may also bring along your writing instruments for recycling according to our new program.
