The County of Ventura congratulates Janice Parvin for being elected the next County Supervisor representing District 4!
Parvin has served fourteen years as Mayor of Moorpark, six years as a City Council Member, two-time Chair of the Planning Commission, and Chair of the Parks and Recreation Commission. Additionally, she served on the Board of Directors for the California League of Cities and is Past President of Channel Counties Division of the California League of Cities; and serves on the Ventura Local Agency Formation Commission “LAFCo.” Parvin is the Chair of the Successor Agency of the city of Moorpark, President of the Public Financing Authority, Chair of the Industrial Development Authority, and serves on the Administration, Finance and Public Safety Committees. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Clean Power Alliance and is Chair of the Ventura County City Selection Committee and is past Board of Director of the Economic Development Collaborative-Ventura County. Parvin also serves on the Board of the Ventura Council of Governments “VCOG.”
Further, Parvin serves on the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Club of Moorpark & Simi Valley, the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Moorpark, and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 502.
