Original Message:  With our community’s safety in mind, we are closing the Calleguas Creek Bike Trail, beginning TODAY (Friday 2/24), for the duration of the significant winter storm. Please use caution when outside and keep your distance from areas prone to flooding, such as watershed areas, as they are expected to rise significantly during these heavy rains. This message will be updated when the trail is re-opened. Thank you!
The National Weather Service and Ventura County Sheriff’s Emergency Services are monitoring a winter storm system that is set to impact the Ventura County beginning Thursday 2/23 through Saturday 2/25. This storm is expected to bring significant snowfall expected in our local mountains and periods of heavy rain and gusty winds are anticipated throughout the region. The heaviest periods of rainfall are currently anticipated to occur Friday from 12:00am - 12:00am Saturday.
