Cal Lutheran men's volleyball is advancing to the Final Four.
The Kingsmen and the Loras College Duhawks played an intense match on Saturday night, with the Kingsmen prevailing 3-2 to advance to the NCAA Division III Championship Final Four. The scores of the match were 25-17, 25-22, 20-25, 23-25, and 15-13.
This marks the first time in program history that the Kingsmen have reached the NCAA Tournament, having won their Sweet 16 and Elite Eight matches.
Kingsmen players Jordan Cooper, Taylor Marks, and Michael Stahl were named to the All-Tournament Team.
Stahl led with 21 kills while hitting .436. He also added a match-high 15 digs for a double-double. Cooper followed with 15 kills and Ben Weber had 13. Marks facilitated the offense with 54 assists and recorded a double-double with 11 digs. Logan Marks contributed with 11 digs, while Borys Horiuk and Matthew Wilcox each had six kills.
The Kingsmen will return to Loras College as the Duhawks will host the Final Four and championship matches starting Friday.
