California Lutheran University is hosting "The In-Between: Senior Art Exhibit 2025," showcasing the work of senior art students. The exhibition, which is free to the public, will run from March 20 through May 16 at the William Rolland Gallery of Fine Art on the university's campus in Thousand Oaks. Visitors can view the exhibit from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday, with an opening reception scheduled for March 20 from 4-6:30 p.m.
Jesse Groves, curator of Galleries and Exhibitions and a faculty member in Visual Arts, commented on the exhibition: “Each student enters their senior year with unique interests and skills. Through collaboration with selected faculty members, they refine their craft and push their creative boundaries. The In-Between showcases the culmination of that journey — a personal and diverse collection of artworks that highlight the artists’ growth.”
The exhibit features nine students' works under the theme "The In-Between." Their art draws inspiration from nature, human experiences, and storytelling across various mediums such as photography, graphic design, digital art, illustrations, and paintings.
Cal Lutheran's Visual Arts program offers students a broad exploration of artistic forms and approaches. This curriculum prepares them for careers in creative industries by allowing them to work across multiple mediums including painting, drawing, sculpture, graphic design, animation, visual effects, and photography.
Located at 60 W. Olsen Road in Thousand Oaks, California Lutheran University has been recognized as a Hispanic-Serving Institution since 2016. It serves over 2,200 undergraduate and 1,000 graduate students from diverse backgrounds worldwide.
