Artificial Intelligence is transforming business operations. Research indicates that Generative AI could automate 50% of today's business activities a decade earlier than previously estimated. This shift will impact hours, tasks, and responsibilities across various wage rates and educational backgrounds. Organizations using ChatGPT report completing tasks 25% faster with over 40% higher-quality results.
To assist companies in adapting to this new AI landscape, the School of Management at California Lutheran University will host “AI in the Workplace: Navigating Challenges and Embracing Opportunities” on October 10. The ninth annual Executive Talent Management Forum will feature academic speakers and industry leaders discussing AI's influence on management practices. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lundring Events Center on the Cal Lutheran campus.
Gerhard Apfelthaler, dean of the School of Management at Cal Lutheran, stated, “As AI is adopted across industries for automation, decision-making and data-driven insights, we will see growth rates that very few sectors have ever seen.” He added that by 2030, the global AI market could expand to $1.3 trillion.
The forum's panel discussion will be moderated by Susan Lundeen, chief people officer at Allogene Therapeutics. Panelists include Shafia Hayek from PennyMac Loan Services, Chris Meissner from Meissner Corporation (USA), and Andrew Powers, Thousand Oaks city manager.
Aaron Anderson, president of Brandes Associates Inc., will deliver the industry keynote address focusing on preparing organizations for an AI-enabled future through upskilling employees and maintaining a positive workplace culture. Anderson is recognized for his strategic vision and leadership abilities.
Vlad Vaiman, Ph.D., professor at Cal Lutheran’s School of Management and an international scholar in talent management, will provide the academic keynote on AI's role in workforce management.
Attendees can expect to learn about current trends in talent management through round-table discussions and networking opportunities. Tickets are priced at $95 with discounts for Cal Lutheran alumni; students, faculty, and staff can attend for free with registration required via Executivetalent.net/buy-tickets.
