California Lutheran University is experiencing a renewed sense of community, according to Interim President John A. Nunes. Reflecting on his early months in the role, Nunes emphasized the university's commitment to mutual support and shared purpose among alumni, students, faculty, and staff.

Nunes stated that being part of the Cal Lutheran family involves "supporting each other, celebrating our successes and facing challenges together." He acknowledged that while differences of opinion exist within the community, the core values guiding Cal Lutheran remain strong.
